Quiz Answering¶

During the quiz response process, participants have the opportunity to submit their answers based on their knowledge and prior learning. Participants can only respond to quiz questions once the quiz becomes accessible to them.

If a participant attempts to answer before the designated start time, they will be directed to a countdown screen displaying a timer.
The countdown timer will indicate the remaining time until the quiz begins.
Once the timer reaches zero, participants will be guided to an instructions screen where they will be briefed on the quiz details and some general instructions from the creator.
From the instructions screen, participants can proceed to start the quiz and submit their answers.

Quiz Information¶

The upper section of the quiz response interface provides essential information about the quiz, including key details such as the quiz title, start time, duration, and any specific instructions or guidelines that participants need to be aware of before beginning the quiz.

QuizInformation

Title¶

Represents the complete title of the quiz.

Ref Id¶

This is a unique identifier assigned to each quiz, ensuring easy differentiation, tracking, and retrieval of specific quiz data.

Duration¶

Indicates the total time allotted for participants to complete the quiz, guiding them on how to manage their time effectively.

Type¶

Specifies whether the quiz rank calculation is time-based or score-based.

Max score¶

Displays the cumulative maximum score achievable in the quiz, calculated from the sum of all question scores.

Quiz started at¶

The exact date and time when the quiz officially began for that participant, marking the start of the answering period.

Quiz expires on¶

Indicates the date and time when the quiz will close, after which no further answers will be accepted. This helps participants keep track of the time limit for submission.

Tags¶

Displays all the tags related to the quiz in a panel. The button displays the total number of tags associated to that particular quiz.

Quiz Responses Overview¶

In this section, participants will encounter two distinct areas.

Question Section: This area displays the quiz questions along with the available answer options, allowing participants to focus on selecting the correct response.
Progress Section: Contains the navigation panel, which assists participants in easily moving between questions. It also includes the countdown timer, providing a visual representation of the remaining time, as well as the option to finalize and submit their responses when ready.

QuizResponse

Participants can view all the quiz questions and answer options on the left side of the interface. The answer options may vary between two types

Single Correct Answer: Participants can select only one answer as the correct choice.
Multiple Correct Answers: Allows participants to choose more than one option if the question has multiple correct responses.

Participant’s have the flexibility to select an answer and then click on any navigation button to move to the next question or revisit a previous one. Upon navigating, the selected answer will be automatically saved, ensuring that no responses are lost while participating in the quiz.

The navigation panel plays a crucial role in helping participants track their progress and manage their time effectively during the quiz. It includes several key features

NavigationPanel

Timer¶

Displays a countdown timer indicating the remaining time available to complete the quiz. If the timer reaches zero before the participant submits the quiz, a timeout screen will be shown, alerting them that the quiz session has ended.

Progress Bar¶

A visual indicator showing how many questions the participant has answered. Below the progress bar, a count of the answered questions out of the total number of questions is displayed, providing a clear overview of the quiz completion status.

Each tab contains a set of 24 questions. If the quiz has fewer than 24 questions, these tabs will remain hidden. Participants can click on any tab to load the corresponding set of questions. The color of the tab changes based on the answering status:

Green: Indicates that all questions in the tab have been answered.
Amber: Indicates that at least one question in the tab has been skipped or left unanswered

Questions¶

Participants can click on any question number in the navigation panel to display that specific question on the question section of the screen. The answering status of each question is visually represented

If a participant navigates to a new question without answering the current one, the current question is marked as skipped and highlighted in amber.
If an answer is selected before moving to another question, the question is highlighted in green to indicate completion, and the progress bar along with the answered question count is updated accordingly.

This structured navigation system is designed to give participants full control over their quiz responses, enabling them to monitor their progress, manage their time, and easily revisit any skipped or incomplete questions.

Quiz Completion and Timeout¶

Participants have the flexibility to revisit and answer any quiz questions at any time before the quiz expires. They can navigate freely to update or change their answers as long as the countdown timer is still active.

On Quiz Timeout: If the quiz time runs out before the participant submits their responses, a timeout screen will be displayed as soon as the timer reaches zero. The quiz will then be considered incomplete and marked as not submitted.

Successful Quiz Submission: If the participant successfully submits the quiz within the allotted time, a congratulatory screen will be displayed, acknowledging the completion of the quiz.

Post-Submission Access: After the quiz has been submitted, if the participant attempts to access the same quiz link, they will see an "Evaluation in Progress" screen. This screen will provide information on the evaluation status and display the date and time when the quiz results are expected to be available.

This approach ensures that participants are guided through the quiz process, from answering questions to submission, while providing timely feedback and updates on the evaluation status.

ActionButtons

Next and Previous Buttons: These buttons enable participants to navigate easily between different questions. Participant’s can move forward to the next question or go back to a previous one, ensuring they have the flexibility to review and modify their answers as needed. Each navigation action automatically saves the responses, so participants can focus on answering without worrying about losing their progress.

Clear Button: This button allows participants to clear their selected answers for the current question. If an option has been chosen and the participant wishes to change it, clicking the Clear button will reset the selection, enabling them to reconsider and choose a different answer.

Submit Action button¶

Submit

The Submit button enables participants to finalize their quiz responses. When participants are ready to complete the quiz, they can click this button to submit their answers for evaluation. The behavior of the submit action varies based on the answering status of the questions

Confirmation

Confirmation for Unanswered Questions: If there are any questions that have been skipped or left unanswered, a confirmation dialogue will appear. This dialog will display the count of unanswered or skipped questions, prompting the participant to confirm whether they still wish to proceed with the submission.
